The Officer's Mess at RAF Boulmer held it's Summer Ball, at which THE entertainment Xchange provided three casino tables and a disco. The theme for the ball was Wild West and it was a highly succesful evening that was thoroughly enjoyed by the 170 guests who attended it. It's success was in no small part down to the entertainment we hired from you, and as President of the mess committee, I thought it appropriate to put our appreciation in writing. One of my staff had discussed our requirements with you over a number of months and what you provided on the evening was exactly what we required and entirely in keeping with our theme. The three casino tables proved extremely popular with our guests throughout the evening; indeed, in my fourteen years in the RAF I have attended many Summer Balls but I don't believe I have seen a casino quite so popular and well used as this one. I have also received many favourable comments of your disco and your broad, yet popular, spread of music. Moreover, in making our arrangements with you, we were always mindful of our location and the considerable distance your staff would travel to support us, which did not prove to be a problem. The laser Clay Pigeon Shooting was so popular that it drew a lengthy queue even long after sundown. The Rodeo Bull provided many laughs and memorable photographs, and the way in which both young and old were accommodated with an appropriate level of challenge was much appreciated. The Casino was obviously so addictive that there was 'standing room only' around the tables all night, and the disco drew a crowd right up until the last song. The guests are still talking about Amarillo! The acts all provided a noticeably friendly, attentive and efficeient service. All in all I fail to see how things could have gone more smoothly.
